The title Epificus translates literally as ‘formed upon'. Referencing the multitude of subtropical plant species that utilise a host to reach higher in the canopy and support their often fragile structure.
Located on the pedestrian stair tower of the Morrisey Street Bridge, Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba, Queensland
Fabricated by Rockpress in 6 parts from 4mm 316 stainless steel with a 'bead blasted' finish. Commissioned through Brecknock Consulting by EDAW and the Brisbane City Council under the art buit in proponent of the North/South inner city bypass tunnel.
